Breaka Burleigh Pro Running at Burleigh Heads in Good Waves
Burleigh Heads/Australia/Sunday February 3 2013: The ASP 6-Star Rated Burleigh Breaka Pro is off and running in good waves at Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast.
Women’s rounds one and two will be surfed this morning and then some heats from the first round of the men’s will run through the afternoon.
With clean waves in the 1.5m (4 feet) range the Women’s action will be outstanding.
Highlight surfers include:
Hawaii’s Bethany Hamilton (Heat 1 – approx 8am) surfing in the opening heat of the day.
Australia’s Sally Fitzgibbons (Heat 10 – approx 11am ) - Sally is the current world number 2 ranked surfer and number 1 seed here at the Breaka.
Australia’s Tyler Wright (Heat 15 approx 12:45) – current world number 4 in the 11th heat of the day
Sunshine Coast surfer Dimity Stoyle (heat 10 – 11am)
Hawaiia’s Coco Ho (Heat 7 – 10am) and local Gold Coast surfer Eden Putland (Heat 6 9:40am) and Ellie-Jean Coffey (Heat 13, 12:00)
