Hailing from the notoriously heavy waves of Western Australia, Taj Burrow is one of the few athletes who has maintained his status as a threat to the ASP World Title since his inception onto the elite ranks in 1998.

Burrrow’s mind-blowing videos including ‘Sabotaj’, ‘Montaj’ and ‘Fair Bits’ and and his ushering of above-the-lip surfing into the competitive realm have established the natural-footer as one of surfing’s most prominent athletes. Arguably the most technically-sound aerialist in the game and an inspiration to today’s most promising athletes, Burrow has clinched nine elite event wins and three ASP World runner-up finishes in his impressive career, but has fallen just short of the elusive ASP World Title numerous times.

With more experience on tour than nearly all of the competition and his newfound dedication to a brutal training regime, expect Burrow to return hungrier than ever entering 2011.
